The Federal Government of the United States now has a real-time search engine for Twitter style that enables users to find the most up-to-date information of Government.
People can search for specific topics, such as "tax credit of energy" or Browse general topics like "Agriculture" to find government documents and blog postings from 144 federal departments.
Just like on Twitter search, the latest information appear at the top of the search results.
Product Recalls this type of search of information may be important when searching for natural disasters, etc.
People can have real time search results sent to their computer or a smart phone via e-mail, SMS or by subscribing to an RSS feed.
The search engine for real-time Government was developed by a company called GovDelivery that has also developed a social network called GovLoop Government which has a membership of over 35,000 people.
